DIY: Pumpkin Purée for All Your Fall Favorites

When we think of Fall, pumpkin is often one of the first things to come to mind. Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin everything. While we love finding each extraordinary use for this seasonal squash, today we’re going back to basics with a pumpkin purée from our friends at Honeysuckle.  

You will be amazed at how easy it it to make your own pumpkin purée. Plus, this recipe only calls for one ingredient: pumpkin! Roasting pumpkin will also make your home smell incredible, as if you needed one more reason to try.

DIY Pumpkin Purée

Ingredients

Sugar pumpkin

Materials

Baking sheet

Knife

Food Processor

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  2. Wash your pumpkin. Cut off the stem, then cut in half. Scrape out seeds and pulp. (Honest Tip: Save the seeds for and roast for a super-simple snack!)
  3. Place on baking sheet and roast for 45 minutes, face up.
  4. Let cool, then scrape the meat and put in food processor. Thin with water as needed.
  5. Use purée for all of your pumpkin needs!
