Homemade Hot Chocolate

Makes 1 cup

Ingredients

1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon cocoa powder (unsweetened)

1 tablespoon powdered sugar (more or less, to taste)

Pinch of salt

Hot water

Hot steamed milk

Optional

Marshmallows

Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Add dry ingredients to a mug. Pour in hot water and stir until chocolate is melted down.
  2. Top with steamed milk and stir.
  3. Add marshmallows, sprinkles or any other festive toppings.

Honest Tip: For an easy holiday present, add dry ingredients to a piping bag (or plastic bag) and secure with a ribbon. Place inside a reusable mug and gift!
