Simple + Delicious Thai Lettuce Wraps

THAI LETTUCE WRAPS

Serves 3-4

Ingredients

¼ cup lime juice

2 tablespoons fish sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon water

½ tsp Chili garlic paste

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

1 shallot diced

1/2 pound ground turkey

2 teaspoon fish sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/2 cup of torn basil, mint and cilantro leaves

1/4 red onion, thinly sliced

Butter Lettuce

Instructions

  1. To prep sauce, squeeze limes for juice into a bowl. Then add fish sauce, brown sugar, and water and give it a good mix. Mix in chili garlic paste for an extra little kick.
  2. Chop fresh mint, thai basil, and cilantro and set aside.
  3. Take a medium frying pan and heat it up on medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil, diced shallot, and sliced garlic to the pan and let it sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add in ground turkey, soy sauce, brown sugar, fish sauce, and give it a good mix. Cook it until the turkey is fully cooked through.
  5. Add in sliced red onions, give it a good mix, and then add the chopped herbs. Toss then take off heat.
  6. Serve with Butter Lettuce.
