Friday Finds: Eau Good Water Bottle

Beautifully designed, sustainably focused, and economical, the Eau Good water bottle by black + blum is our latest “want”. We already know how important it is to stay hydrated, but it’s not always easy to have great tasting and accessible water, without resorting to another disposable bottle. With the Eau Good, you can turn traditional tap, into balanced, filtered, and tasty water whenever you need.

The Eau Good bottle is made for on-the-go action, with its BPA-free plastic vessel and cork, stainless steel, and silicone lid. The Binchotan filter — an active charcoal that has been used in Japan as a water purifier since the 17th century — reduces chlorine, increases mineral content, and balances pH. The filter itself is made from sustainably sourced wood, and can be used for up to 6 months. After the filter has reached the end of it’s lifetime, it can be recycled and used around the home as a household deodorizer (your kitty litter box just got an upgrade!) or as a fertilizer for potted plants.

 For in-home or office use, they’ve also got an elegant carafe version. This one uses the same Binchotan filter, but is constructed of hand blown glass, so it’s step more sustainable.
