Meet Honest Office Manager Carly Jansen

We're happy to introduce you to someone who's keeping our house in order for the new year!

What do you love most about working at Honest?

I love working with and around so many creative, intelligent people. The Honest Company is a force. It creates an incredible work environment that propels ideas and fuels growth. Each department is uniquely blessed with driven individuals.

As the office manager, I love that I have the opportunity to interact and learn from such a unique spectrum of people. The ideas and energy that are constantly being generated within the walls of the office motivate me on a daily basis. I feel blessed to be a part of a company with such impressive ethics and values.

What is your favorite product?

It’s increasingly difficult to choose one favorite as we continue to increase our product line! With two dogs crammed into a small LA apartment, the floor cleaner is kind of my life saver. It leaves my wood floors shiny, smelling wonderful and remarkably clean...for about 30 minutes (until my dogs, Mr. Pants & Beans, destroy the citrus rosemary goodness with their fur).

What is your most memorable Honest moment?

In my brief Honest career, the most memorable moment is watching the founders roll through the office for our Holiday gift giveaway on an electric train, with gifts piled high, Santa riding shotgun and music blasting throughout the office. The company culture is pretty spectacular. It feels like a family here and I am so honored to work along side each and every one of my Honest team members.

How do you embrace the Honest lifestyle at home?

Protecting the environment is close to my heart; I eat a plant-based diet, buy organic foods in support of non-toxic agriculture, and use eco-friendly products that don’t test on animals. The Honest Company makes it easy to stay true to my core values without sacrificing function or price-point.

If you weren't at work, what would you be doing?

My weekends are spent with my family. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and I’m fortunate enough live within walking distance of my siblings. When I’m not at Honest, I try to steal afternoon visits with my niece Beatrice, take long walks for coffee with my dogs and scout noteworthy wine lists with my girlfriend. I also have an affinity for cooking, so many of my weekend hours are spent creating, tasting, and developing amazing food (it’s a rough life).
