Meet Honest Social Media Coordinator Traci Michael

What do you love most about working at Honest?

The people! I know everyone says that, but it's true. I feel incredibly lucky to get to collaborate with such passionate, driven, creative, and caring people. Working for a mission driven company that is truly invested in making a positive impact is another thing I love about Honest.

What is your favorite product?

This is a trick question, I have so many favorites! My current favorite, if I really have to pick, would be the Sea Salt + Sugar Body Scrub. But I can't forget about the Conditioner, or Body Oil, or Organic Lip Balm Trio... and don't even get me started on the cleaning products. (Did someone say Multi-Surface Cleaner?!)

What is your most memorable Honest moment?

I love all the gatherings and events we have as a company. As we grow it can be a challenge to both meet new employees and to maintain friendships with co-workers in different departments. I appreciate that Honest values community, and that at the end — or middle —  of a long work day we can celebrate with a meal, go bowling, cheers with champagne, or get outside for a summer carnival.

How do you embrace the Honest lifestyle at home?

Before I started working at Honest I was aware of the lack of regulation on the ingredients used in household products, but I didn't really think there was an accessible, affordable, and effective solution. I couldn't be more grateful for Honest creating that solution! Since finding out about the company, I've completely changed the products I use. No more harsh chemicals in my cleaning products or fragrances in my cosmetics. I'm always on the watch for nasty ingredients to avoid and I double check every ingredient label before it makes the final cut.

If you weren't at work, what would you be doing?

If I'm not at work I'm probably curled up with a book (and coffee, can't forget the coffee), writing, or taking photos (I'm still just as obsessed with Instagram as the day it launched). I'm originally from Washington state (#gohawks!), so the Southern California beaches are amazing to me — I love exploring the city and scouting out the perfect beach with my friends and family. My most favorite pastime these days, though, is holding my three month old nephew, Clarence. He's already an Honest fan and rocks the diapers daily!
