What do you love most about working at Honest?

I have always wanted to work for a company that was focused on more than just the bottom line. Well, I found that at Honest! I absolutely love that we are on a mission to create a safer, healthier world for children and families. This isn’t just a marketing slogan, but something that permeates throughout the organization and is at the core of every decision we make. The fact that I get to do this with some incredibly bright, passionate, and dedicated individuals is an added bonus and a blessing.

What is your favorite product?

There are so many incredible products and we use several at home. However, my favorite has to be the Shampoo + Body Wash. Not only is it safe and natural, but thoroughly cleans, refreshes, and the scent is amazing. More importantly, the kids now love taking baths and there are no more tears!

What is your most memorable Honest moment?

There have been several from the 100th Employee Celebration to the 200th Employee Celebration and everything in-between. However, my most memorable moment has to be Halloween 2013! We had 100% participation, as every employee dressed up in a costume. This speaks volumes about the great company culture at Honest. My group dressed up as the cast from Breaking Bad and I was carrying around a “Los Pollos Hermanos” bucket all day.

How do you embrace the Honest lifestyle at home?

Prior to Honest, my understanding of harmful chemicals in everyday products was fairly limited. Working here has truly opened my eyes and has resulted in a transformation in our home. Not only have the traditional cleaning and bath and body items been replaced by safe, natural Honest products, but we also purchase organic food whenever possible.

If you weren't at work, what would you be doing?

Spending as much quality time as possible with my beautiful wife Taz and my little angels Riyaan & Mira. Kids love to play in general and ours love to play … all the time! Whether it is basketball, baseball, football, golf, boxing, dinosaurs, pirates, princess stuff, or pretend tea time, playing is serious business in our house. We also enjoy traveling whether it is a weekend trip in Southern California or a weeklong journey to an international destination. Somehow, we always end up at a beach resort.

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself as a first-time dad?

Before my son was born, I was apprehensive about several things – life would change forever, no more poker tournaments till 4am, and how could someone who essentially acts like a kid have a kid? All those fears quickly disappeared when my son was born and I held him for the first time. In addition to the immense happiness I felt, there was a natural connection and it dawned on me that I had become a father. Instead of panicking, I was amazingly calm and excited about the journey ahead. It is true that life would never be the same … it would be much more meaningful!
