For this week's Pause & Pose, we asked Jessie James of We Heart Yoga to go play outside! She found some inspiration in the beautiful natural form of an agave plant (which doesn't just look great, but, as a natural sweetener, tastes good, too).


Boat Pose


Level 3


Boat pose strengthens your abdominals spine and hip flexors. It also improves digestion and stimulates your kidneys, prostate, thyroid and intestines.

Honest Tip

This pose is about having a straight back more than how high your toes are. To encourage proper straightness and stability, descend your thighbones (femurs) toward the ground while you lift your toes up.
