Workout Wednesday: Basic Bicep Curl

Workout Wednesday: Basic Bicep Curl

Work towards longer, leaner arms with this basic bicep curl. It's an easy exercise that can be done anytime and anywhere! (Even with grocery bags, as seen here.)

Benefits: Help strengthen and tone biceps. This can be done with weights or — in this case —  shopping bags!

Step 1:

Stand straight, with legs hip-width apart and knees slightly bent.

Step 2:

Grab semi full shopping bags or 3lb-5lb weights. Keep your elbows close to your ribcage and your chest nice and open (your gliding scapula’s should be down towards your lower back). Keep your chin up and ears above the shoulders. Bend your arms to lift the bags. Repeat 10 to 20 times.

Honest Tip:

When lowering bags (or weights) don’t just let them pull your arms down, but resist the weight in both directions. This will help you develop nice, lean and long biceps. Keep your wrists aligned with your forearms.
