Honest to Goodness: Inspired by Max

With September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Honest was once again inspired to support the cause. We wanted our commitment to be meaningful, galvanizing our community to support as well.

At Honest we’re energized by healthy living and, as many of you know, we’re committed to the healthiest development of children during their most vulnerable years. Sharing this same devotion are our friends at the MaxLove Project. Behind the MaxLove Project is a diverse group of parents, doctors, researchers, and more — all inspired to help children faced with childhood cancer not only thrive but go on to lead healthy, happy lives.

In light of Max and all children seeking their best, healthiest start in life, we asked each of you to share YOUR inspiration for living a healthy life! For every photo with the hashtag #HonestLovesMax, we donated a dollar to The MaxLove Project, to provide empowering health resources to children and families who need it the most.

Our Impact

Because of YOU, we reached our $30,000 goal early, so we raised it to $40,000 — and even exceeded that!

Thanks to your tremendous support, the funds raised will add to the successful impact created through our first #HonestLovesMax Campaign in which we were able to:

1. Fund 7,500 fierce foodie guides distributed to 100 children’s hospitals in 5 different countries. These fierce foodie guides provide cutting edge anti-cancer nutrition education & importantly support to families upon diagnosis.
2. Fund the development of a nutrition education pilot program, which recently launched and is already benefiting 2,600 children at 6 schools!
3. Donate Honest product to Fierce Foodie Cooking Classes, providing anti-cancer environmental health and nutrition education. See our Fruit + Veggie Wash in action below!

Building upon our previous efforts, the funds raised through our Inspired By Max Campaign will be used to develop, print, and distribute 8,000 new and improved Super Duper Kids Thrive Guides (version 2!) to 100 hospitals and 40 under-resourced preschools.

These Super Duper Kids Thrive Guides (pictured below) are complete with kid-friendly nutrition education games, crafts, and recipes as well as sleep and stress management therapies.
