You Share, We Give! Help Us Support National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month? Childhood cancer continues to be the leading cause of death by disease among American children. In fact, every 3 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide. These rates are staggering, and we think they deserve more attention and resources dedicated to ending such an epidemic impacting our children.

To raise awareness and funds for this cause, we partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to host a “Show You Care + Share” Facebook campaign. For each custom badge shared through our Facebook application between September 3, 2013 and September 30, 2013, Honest will donate $1 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to further their efforts to improve childhood cancer survival rates and enhance the quality of life for all patients they treat.

Here’s how St. Jude is making a difference:

• No family ever pays St. Jude for anything. From its inception over 50 years ago, all children have been treated regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

• St. Jude developed protocols that have helped increase overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80 percent today.

• Over 7,800 patients are treated by the hospital each year. This includes children from all 50 states and from countries all around the world.

While we have pledged a minimum donation of $10,000, we are excited and confident that we can give up to $30,000 with your help! Here’s how you can join St. Jude in their fight against childhood cancer:
