It’s a Wrap: One Dress, a Million Possibilities

It’s a Wrap: One Dress, a Million Possibilities

In 1974, Diane von Furstenburg was a working mom looking to create one effortless, elegant piece of clothing that would take her everywhere she needed to go (and look good doing it). Her wrap dress, first crafted in knit jersey, was the simple solution that became a global fashion phenomenon and remains a wardrobe essential today.

Feminine and flattering, but also practical, wrap dresses free us up to go about our day and still feel glamorous, whether that’s a full day at the office, taking care of kiddos, a night on the town, or a weekend with the family. As the embodiment of her work, Diane’s strength and style continues to be a great inspiration to women and entrepreneurs alike (including our founder).

On the 40th anniversary of the wrap dress, we thought Valentine’s Day would be the perfect occasion to celebrate this must-have style simplifier. Dressed up or dressed down, we’ve found a lot to love…and we think you will, too!

A Valentine’s Day brunch is a wonderful gift to get: a meal shared with the people you love most! This look has bold pops of color that complement the Pop Art print courtesy of Andy Warhol, the artist responsible for Diane’s most famous portrait.

Making time for the two of you can be a challenge, but Valentine’s Day can be a date night to remember when you’re wrapped up in each other (and a great dress). Take a gorgeous floral print and give it a modern spin with graphic accessories and sleek staples like this blazer and these boots.
