Here at Honest we’re on a mission to empower people to live happy, healthy lives. This includes helping mom in her feeding journey, however we can — whether with our pre and postnatal multi-vitamin supplements, our breastfeeding support supplements, education from our in-house board certified lactation consultant or through our supportive community. This fall we had the honor of partnering with Baby2Baby on an extra special project, benefitting the students at Thomas Riley High School.
During the month of November, Honest employees spent three weeks renovating the space on campus set aside for students to pump and nurse. The goal was to enhance the pumping experience with key educational materials, increased privacy and cleanliness, and additional comfort for teen mothers to help support them on their breastfeeding journey. The renovation included providing permanent educational materials, building privacy walls, replacing the sink and refrigerator, bringing in furniture conducive to a comfortable breastfeeding and pumping experience, and creating a functional space for storage.
Take a look at the transformation, below!
Breastfeeding is challenging enough, and we hope that having a space where mom feels comfortable and supported is a way for us to make her breastfeeding journey a little easier.
We also hope that by providing a safe place at school to pump, these women will be allowed to focus on the important stuff: their child’s nutrition and their ability to better themselves through education. This room renovation is just another small way we are working to help further our mission to empower people to live happy, healthy lives.
At Honest, we take a Best-For-Baby approach in everything we do, and support all types of feeding choices & solutions. We invite you to learn more by clicking here.
