Jessica Alba honored at 33rd Hispanic Heritage Awards

We are thrilled and honored to announce that The Honest Company founder Jessica Alba received the Business Award during the 33rd Hispanic Heritage Awards. Founded by the White House in 1988 to commemorate the establishment of Hispanic Heritage Month in America, this award is among the highest honors for Latinos. Jessica Alba was awarded by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation for her outstanding accomplishments as a Business Leader and Founder of The Honest Company.

Jessica Alba founded The Honest Company with the goal to empower people to live happy, healthy lives. "I created The Honest Company because you shouldn’t have to choose between what works and what’s good for you", explains Alba.

"As a young kid, I saw lots of boys and girls in my neighborhood who looked like me. However, in Hollywood and entertainment, I never saw anyone that I felt represented me. There was never anyone holding open any doors or offering guidance - instead, it was me knocking through doors basically doing everything I could just to be given a shot. As a result, I've committed my life and career to supporting the needs of our community as they pertain to business, health + wellness, opportunities, and most importantly, representation. I believe that if we are all unidos and show up as a community, we will be the change we want to see for ourselves, for our children, and for many generations to come." shares Jessica Alba
